Help build the future of economics education
Econec is designed as a collaborative grass-roots project. The aim is to expand the educational infrastructure in Switzerland and bezond, by providing free educational resources. We work with teachers, experts, and partners to create learning materials that are academically sound, pedagogically useful, and grounded in classroom reality.
Advisory Committee
Our Advisory Committee brings together experts in didactics, economics, pedagogy, and technology. Its role is to:
- Provide strategic guidance
- Identify weaknesses and blind spots
- Review outputs against explicit quality criteria
- Support methodological and pedagogical coherence
- Help ensure the plurality and relevance of the materials
Who we are looking for
- Experts in economics education
- Specialists in curriculum and didactics
- Educators with experience in sustainability or civic education
- Professionals with expertise in educational technology
- Trusted advisors who can strengthen the project’s quality and credibility
Sounding Board
Our Sounding Board is a panel of around twenty teachers from different cantons who are consulted at key stages of development. Their feedback helps us ensure that our modules are practical, realistic, and usable in real teaching conditions. During development, materials will be tested in their classrooms.
What members do
- Review modules in development
- Assess usability and classroom relevance
- Comment on workload and clarity
- Share feedback on structure, tone, and adaptability
- Help improve materials before publication
Why it matters
Teachers have a high degree of autonomy in choosing learning materials. Their early involvement is essential if the project is to produce resources that will be useful to teachers and therefore be used.
